NDPHA Tuition REIMBURSEMENT Program

NDPHA has received grant funding that provides tuition reimbursement for our members! This opportunity allows NDPHA to support the professional development of our members and enhance the public health workforce in North Dakota.  Applications for tuition reimbursement are being accepted through September 30, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for tuition reimbursement, members must meet the following criteria:

  • Membership Status: Must be a member of the North Dakota Public Health Association at the time of taking the course and application.
  • Course Eligibility: Courses eligible for reimbursement must be completed between August 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025.  Courses should be completed prior to members submitting an application for reimbursement.
  • Course Relevance: The course or program must be related to public health or contribute to the member's professional development in a manner that aligns with the association's goals.
  • Academic Performance: A minimum grade of "B" or its equivalent must be achieved in the course.

Covered Expenses

Reimbursement may be up to $1,000.00 per individual and can cover the following expenses:

  • Tuition fees
  • Required course materials such as textbooks and supplies.
  • Non-tuition expenses such as application fees, student activity fees, and late registration fees are not eligible for reimbursement.

Application Process

NDPHA members must complete a Tuition Reimbursement Request Application.  This online application will be available through September 30, 2025.  The application includes information about the course, degree, public health career aspirations, and NDPHA involvement. Individuals are required to upload transcript, receipt and proof of payment in the online application. An NDPHA committee will review the applications to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria and aligns with the association's objectives and will review request based on relevance, fund availability, and alignment with the association's goals.  Applicants will be notified in writing of the approval or denial of their application by November 1, 2025.
