Looking for a training on evidence-based public health or health information resources in multiple languages? What about some supplemental funding to promote tobacco prevention or to develop a training on mental health resources for older adults?
The Greater Midwest Regional Office of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine offers free online and in-person trainings on topics related to health information access. Previous trainings have covered evidence-based public health, Healthy People 2020, and capacity building. A full list of scheduled trainings can be found at: https://nnlm.gov/gmr/training/schedule
In addition, the office funds (up to $20,000) organizations that promote equal access to reliable health information resources. Funds can be used to create a new project or supplement an ongoing project with new health information resources from the National Library of Medicine. The National Network of Libraries of Medicine represents a membership-network of over 6,000 libraries, public health departments, community-based non-profits, and other organizations committed to improving the health of their communities through reliable health information.
